Recent and continuing advances in science and technology are raising profoundly important public policy issues. Consideration of selection of critical policy issues, each of which has substantial ethical, social, economic, political, scientific, and technological aspects. Winter 2018 - Phenomenal class. One of my favorites at UCLA. Assignments were straightforward - three or four memos in response to a prompt (students' choice). Each class session covered a different, interesting topic in detail. Midterm and final were timed memos.
