Medical Image Processing Systems

Description: Lecture, three hours; discussion, one hour. Requisites: courses 209, 210. Advanced image processing and image analysis techniques applied to medical images. Discussion of approaches to computer-aided diagnosis and image quantitation, as well as application of pattern classification techniques (neural networks and discriminant analysis). Examination of problems from several imaging modalities (CT, MR, CR, and mammography). S/U or letter grading.
