Description: Lecture, four hours; outside study, eight hours. Requisite: course 120. Study of major physical and chemical principles affecting properties and performance of semiconductor materials. Topics include bonding, carrier statistics, band-gap engineering, optical and transport properties, novel materials systems, and characterization. Letter grading.

Fall 2022 - Exams were harder than the lectures and the homework, even though it was stated if you can understand the homework than the exams should not be bad.

Great professor and great class. The homework assignments were very lengthy, but spending the time on them really makes the exams that much easier. He was very helpful and genuinely wanted us to succeed.
