Description: Lecture, three hours; fieldwork, five hours. Preparation: one prior lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender studies course. Service-learning course that offers opportunity for students to work in lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender-related community organizations, to reflect on political and theoretical issues involved in such work and such organizations, and to draw ideas from various courses they have already taken and test them in settings outside UCLA. P/NP or letter grading.
