Community or Corporate Internships in Women's Studies

Description: Tutorial, eight hours. Requisites: course 102 or 103 or 104, or two upper-division gender studies courses not in 189 to 199 series. Limited to juniors/seniors. Internship in supervised setting in community agency, organization, or business approved by program. Content of student work must apply gender analysis or be focused on some aspect of gender studies. Students meet on regular basis with instructor, provide periodic reports on their experience on-site, and submit final report. Must be taken for 4 letter-graded units to be applied toward Gender Studies major or minor. May be repeated for maximum of 8 units. Individual contract with supervising faculty member required. P/NP or letter grading.
