Contemporary French Theory

Description: Lecture, three hours. Requisite: course 12 or 100. Taught in French. Study of French theorists (Barthes, Baudrillard, Cixous, Derrida, Foucault, Irigaray) and major concepts in contemporary French thought, with attention to its influence on and application to literary and nonliterary texts. May be repeated for credit with topic change. P/NP or letter grading.
