Science Communication: Art and Practice of Science Storytelling

Description: Lecture, three hours. Students from environmental health sciences focus on communicating with diverse audiences through visual communication. Study of science of science communication and importance of narrative and storytelling to producing engaging science communication. Applying these skills to their own research topics and interests, students develop two pieces of science communication, video and photo/infographic project. Through learning fundamentals of good public communication, students also advance their peer communication. S/U or letter grading.
