I took Engl 103 with Professor Osborne in Winter of 2010, and I can honestly say that she is one of the best teachers that I have had at UCLA. She is very concerned with her students' learning of the material, and also draws from a wide variety of backgrounds (especially considering that the subject was something as specific as Jewish American Literature).
