Description: Seminar, three hours; tutorial, one hour. Preparation: solid reading knowledge of at least one foreign language. Designed for graduate social sciences students. Techniques students need to render scholarly texts in their fields from language they use in their research into English and to advance their knowledge of language to stage where they can use it more effectively in all aspects of their research, as well as take advantage of translation techniques they have learned.
