Description: Lecture, three hours; discussion, one hour. Designed for graduate students. Knowledge of Chinese not required. Examination of relationship between culture (art, literature, film) and society in Taiwan. Reading, audio and visual material, discussion, and development of culminating project. May be repeated for credit with topic change. Concurrently scheduled with course C156. Letter grading.
