Modeling and Simulation of Civil Engineering Materials

Description: Lecture, four hours; discussion, two hours; outside study, six hours. Enforced requisites: Chemistry 20A, 20B, Mathematics 31A, 31B, 32B, Physics 1A, 1B, 1C. Fundamental examination of modeling and numerical simulations for civil engineering materials, with focus on practical examples and applications so students can independently run simulations at scale relevant to targeted problems. Letter grading.
