I worked it out that I don't have to pay too much money for this place, so I like the apartment. It is really close and really small. we have a bunkbed in our room that is a double, which seems like it was necessary.

One thing that can be said about this place that shines some light on it is the location of this apartment with respect to the UCLA campus. Its close proximity to the campus is the one thing that I can say that is good about this place. Aside from that, I can say for certain that any positives are outweighed by the fact that you are robbed of your deposit money by the time you decide to leave the apartment. Yes! Expect to lose a handsome amount of your deposit money and don't expect to be given a reason for it. I, as well as many others that I know that lived in this apartment, were robbed of our deposit for no reason whatsoever. My apartment was left in great condition and was thoroughly cleaned before us having left the apartment. It was known to us after leaving the apartment that this apartment and its upper-level management has a reputation for literally stealing money from people by not giving renters back reasonable amounts of their deposits after the expiration of the lease. Even worse, the management is VERY UNRESPONSIVE and could care less about your "deposit situation" that they created themselves. Be careful before even considering choosing this apartment for rent. I would recommend looking into other apartments before even considering this one! I would have DEFINITELY chosen a more distant apartment from the UCLA campus and would have agreed to a longer walk if I had known that I would have been robbed of my money. If you are hesitant to take my word for it, I recommend you ask around and find out the real truth for yourself.

Don't make the same mistake I made. Yes it is close to campus. Yes it looks nice from the lobby. But don't be fooled.

The apartment is EXTREMELY small and for the price you pay you can find something much bigger down the street, and with a little bit of looking around. Even if you don't want a bigger apartment the apartment itself is rundown. The jaccuzi on the roof constantly floods into the apartments underneath into the apartments on levels 3 and 4. I know someone that had their entire apartment flooded when the jacuzzi above overflowed. They say they always fix it but within a month it will happen again and the flooding continues. There is also a constant termite problem and every apartment unit within the building seems to have a problem with it.

The landlord is helpful but at the end of the day the place is a dump. The parking garage because of the way it is designed basically acts as a runoff for rain and P2 and P3 of the parking garages are often flooded because the rain just drains down from Landfair or Kelton (P3 faces Kelton, P2 faces Landfair) into the parking garage. (good luck getting into your car)

Good luck getting your deposit back when you leave, and if you DO get your deposit back be ready for hefty deductions regardless of the apartments condition. When we left over $500 was taken out for mysterious repairs that were never justified. Basically they use your deposit as more income for them. The ownership banks on you not doing anything to get your money back and the only way to do so is through going to small claims court. Save yourself the anxiety and find another place in westwood to live, one thats nicer, bigger, and less hassle.

OVERALL the place SUCKS! The only advantage it has is that it is very close to campus. If I had to do it again I would not be so lazy and walk the extra block or two but live in an apartment where I know I'm getting what I paid for and am not getting shafted out of a deposit/rent.
