I don't understand why his TA did the teaching for the entire quarter when I signed up for his class. He never even showed up once. It was so miserable dealing with the rude TA Tiffany Mitchenor, who had an attitude problem and was unable to control her emotions to be able to teach the class. She thought the world revolved around her and was obviously thought her problems were more important. The class was a joke and she only catered to those who kissed her ass. Make sure you have a sane TA or one who is able to objectively teach the material.

Professor Shapiro doesn't seem to care if undergrads are in the Theater Department - even though most of the school's funding probably comes from the undergrads crammed into classes. (Are all the TFT administrative faculty like this?) His teaching style is exaggerated and self-serving: this man believes his own hype. If you want to do well, make sure you compliment him and agree vociferously.

Shaprio never hesitates to shoot down your ideas and make you feel small--while simultaneously making it abundantly clear that he has no regard for your or your learning. If at all possible, avoid this man like the plague.
