Professor Santos is an amazing professor. She really wants her student to succeed and makes herself available to students. Her material was very influential and the discussions in class were very great. Santos was defiantly influential and helps you become a better member of society.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PROFESSOR! The readings are ALL online on moodle. We began the course turning in notes online (on readings). However, after about week 3 or 4, she stopped having us do that and decided that sharing opinions about the readings in class was more beneficial for students. Our TA was pregnant, so we rarely saw her. Nonetheless, our TA did give one lecture throughout the whole quarter which was very interesting. Also, our TA was responsive through e-mail and was available to meet for an appointment. Professor Santos is VERY sweet. In class we basically just went over slides, and watched very interesting videos! 1 in class midterm, 1 group presentation, 1 take home final... we also did reading notes but like I said she stopped that during the 3rd or 4th week...

She is so sweet! I would definitely recommend taking her; her lectures are very interesting and engaging. She is very helpful. Class consisted of readings, reading notes, midterm essay in class (she gives you prompt), group presentation and take home final essay.

As the others have mentioned below, Professor Santos is so sweet, funny and gives such thought-provoking lectures. Took two classes with her (this one and gender 185) and LOVED both. You'll most likely work in a group project/presentation, write a paper and have a midterm + final, but all the work is reasonable and she wants every one to do well. Def recommend.
