I agree with the last person, even though the class was extremely entertaining and I did learn a lot, the tests were not as easy - I really had to study for them.. Overall, Dr. Davies was an awesome teacher and one of the best professors I have ever had. I would highly recommend him for any class, because I think it wasn't just that the material was easy, but also, he has a talent for teaching.. I wish he would teach more of the psych classes...

Dr. Davies, or Paul as he prefers to be called, is the best teacher I, as a transfer student, have had at my two years at UCLA, and probably the best teacher I have ever had, at any school. His Lectures are nothing shy of genius, as he makes the concepts that he teaches effortlessly entertaining, easily understandable, and quite memoriable. His tests are totally fair, he gives you an extra credit option, and discussions, (at least with Josh,) were cool too. You have to go to class because he doesnt post the lecture notes, but trust me, YOU WILL WANT TO GO TO CLASS. I know, it seemed impossible to me too, but I swear, he keeps almost the whole class iether laughing or on the edge of their seats throughout the lecture. Dr. Davies turns allready interesting material into super cool material. Not only is Davies a superb Professor, but his research is also really interesting. He studies social identity threat from the targets perspective and the cognitive and motivational factors underlying stereotype activation and application. This class has made me seriously consider graduate school in social psychology, which is something I never would have considered before. No joke.
