Definitely the best choice for an upper div elective. Wen is a very intelligent man that knows about the material and his class is extremely engaging and easy. His C180 Norms and Deviants class played out more like a film class if anything. He would screen films on Mondays and discuss on Wednesdays. Attend class to watch the movies and get participation points in discussion and you're golden. The midterm and final were take home also so that's epic. Take this class, you won't regret it.

AMAZING!!!! Pat Wen is the best professor I have ever had at UCLA. I took a film class with him and it was something I looked forward to every week. He is really knowledgeable about Scandinavia and has so many crazy experiences he can tell you about. I learned tons about the Nordic countries and it fueled my desire about the best countries on earth. For example, in this class I learned that Iceland has a chief pagan in government, and rock bands play at the president's house. I would take this class over and over if I could. Pat Wen is extremely nice and approachable, too. I mean, with freckles, a smile, and smiley eyes like his, how could you not approach him?? Especially when he is wearing glasses! *MELTS* Pat Wen for Chancellor!!
