Prof. Geary is a very learned man. he may come off as too intense, but the truth of the matter is, is that he takes his profession very seriously. Honestly, I appreciated the fact that he was hard on me. I think he is one of the best in the business (medieval history) and you can utilize that to your advantage if you are into Medieval history. I took him for the history of memory 97D course thinking it was going to be medieval history, but the department pulled a fast one and changed the subject. The material was extremely difficult as it was bordering on meta-history instead of your regular history course. However, Prof.Geary helped us understand the main points of the subject. He grades very generously, and I assume it was because of the course material. We did one Book Review, 1 historiographical paper ( this was the hardest paper I ever had to write in my LIFE) and a very easy research prospectus. There is no way in hell you can fail this class if you put some effort. I ended up with a B+, but i dont care. I appreciated the constructive critcism that Prof.Geary pointed out to me.
