Professor Keskinel was a very engaging lecturer. Although he does not use powerpoint slides, his old fashioned way of explaining the material definitely helped me retain the information more. That being said its necessary to attend class because he will often quiz you on information he discussed in the lecture that is not in the book.

his lectures are not horrible, but not great as well. He brings up different topics without clear explanation. you just go anywhere with him without knowing what exactly he is talking about. i feel like listened to a mess after every lecture. he pays attention to the concept or math that everybody understands and neglect the confusing parts… I do not like his lectures at all which are frustrating.
but, his tests are kind of easy.

Keskinel is really funny which made lecture actually enjoyable, but sometimes he can be a little all over the place. Thankfully the lectures were podcasted and he made pdf supplements to the textbook available which helped clarify things. The first midterm was insanely easy, the second was insanely hard, and the final was somewhat in the middle. It's a lot of work but I would recommend him!

He is not a good professor at all. He makes a lot of mistakes on grading. His accent is very hard to understand. He has no practical economics research or experience. He seems more like a community college instructor than a professor at a top university.

The post below me is stupid. We took a midterm today and they obviously did terribly. I haven't gone to a single lecture this quarter, but studied the powerpoints. As long as you study those, and look over someones notes (that helped a lot) you'll do fine on the test. There are a few weird questions that asked dates and stuff you just won't know, but it seems everybody got those wrong so I wouldn't really worry about that. Overall, have no opinion of the professor, but his midterms are easy.

never never take his class, cuz u will fuck up with all ur exams!!!! it is true that he is excited and enthusiastic about the lecture, but he expected students to remember almost all the details and cases in the class and he has some heavy accent which makes the situation worse. U can't miss even one lecture with a reasonable excuse cuz the thing he just mentioned once in class may be included in the exam with unbelievable amount of detail. call his course a GPA destroyer.

Not recommended. Too many tricky questions and historical trivia on exams.
