Her lectures are dry and boring. However she truly cares about her students. I went to office hours once to tell her I submitted the wrong essay online on turnitin and she allowed me to reupload it 4ish days after it was already due. I never really read the articles but skimmed through them. She has required texts to buy but don't waste your time with buying them its not really needed.

The movies are old and interesting and are what the midterm is gonna mainly focus on. Anyways go to lecture she takes role every lecture. You don't have to pay attention much however when she makes you do group work make sure you know the themes very well.

I got an A- which is pretty good considering her 7 pages minimum final essay and I only did about 6 pages.

-not too difficult of a class
-the assignments she assigns cannot be taken seriously, altho she intends for them to be
-p. davis doesn't call out people when they make unintelligent, unverified, lack-of-substance comments; as a professor, i think your job is to give feedback, not just think every response is alright and acceptable for the sake of politeness and being "open"
-dont buy the books. i didnt. just use them on course reserve
-she talks. yeah. for a long time because her speaking speed is 5mph drone. yes, it is boring. thus, i brought my laptop every week
-class lacks structure. she is too flexible.

honestly, i took this class cause her 158 class was easy peasy. but this course was a bit too disorganized for me.
plus, she has not replied to my emails from 3 months ago...

i loved her! her class was very chilled && very easy. i only bought one book from her class && rest read online. you DONT have to buy all the books she requries. I was manage to get an EASY A without any definite lecture notes (in fact, i had none!). her workload seems overwhelming, but it actually isn't, and you will know it when you take her class. i liked it!
