do yourself a favor and don't take this class. Justin is smart but he seems like he has 0 interest in teaching. he does not seem like he knows the material well enough to be teaching it. he just derives equations on the board without any good explanation. his homework and exams are impossible because he puts stuff on there that he has not taught us yet. this class is notoriously hard but taking it with him will make your life absolute hell. by far the worst chemistry professor i have ever had.

DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS WITH THIS PROFESSOR

He is not clear at all. Very very very disorganized person. His homewokrs and exams are questions that haven't been taught to us. It looks like he doesn't care bout this class, and is not a good professor at all.

I’m writing this 2 quarters later, but I still feel so strong about this that I had to leave a review. This class was probably the worst class I’ve taken. The professor did not know what he was doing, he had to constantly check the textbook and never answered my questions when I asked. The problem sets were almost impossible if you didn’t attend office hours, partly because there were so many errors that made it unclear. The teaching had no structure and the textbook did not help at all because they professor basically read out of the textbook. I know this is his first time teaching for this class but there is no excuse for such terrible teaching as a professor.

Given the subject and the fact that it was his first time teaching this class, I thought it was a solid class. I personally found this class very entertaining. Midterms were take-home and were due on the following day. Problem sets were given weekly, but due dates were pretty flexible. Go to his OH. He was willing to help and clarify anything that was not clear during the lecture and often gave hints for the problem sets.
