I'm sorry, but Chris Flynn was one of the worst English TA's i've encountered at UCLA. He did not care to get to know us as students, he was more concerned with his brain-numbing powerpoint lectures in 10C discussion. If i were you, i wouldn't take his section.

I think the previous entry stating that Chris Flynn didn't show much concern for student learning is untrue. He might be more softspoken than a few of the other TAs, but he's certainly on top of the subjects he teaches and I've enjoyed the discussion sections I had with him in 10A and 10B (getting him the second time was a coincidence, actually, and certainly a happy one). On my papers he tended not to write a lot of comments, but he was very willing and available to discuss the papers and what he expects of the students. I found him engaging in class and a very helpful as I negotiated the whirlwind that is the 10 series. He's the best TA I've had in seven quarters at UCLA. I'd recommend him to anyone.

I had Flynn when he was a TA, and I don't know how he is now, but I didn't think he showed much concern for student learning.
