Sadly, I don't know if Professor Klenin is going to offer this class anymore but if she does, take it. It's a very interesting class that is definitely more focused on studying Tolstoy's works that take place in the Caucus region and some other books and media on the Caucus region in general. The class was very easy as well and very easy to get a good grade in. I also don't know what the other reviews were saying, she was incredibly helpful, flexible, and kind with her students. Overall great class and a great professor.

I began to appreciate storytelling for what it is: an experience. I also learned more about historical Caucasia and its culture, which is super cool!
the workload was extremely fair and doable, with a few discussion posts each week and sometimes a short CCLE quiz (with unlimited attempts).
I thought that Professor Klenin was very compassionate and open to discussion, even though the class was on Zoom and it was difficult to get us to participate. we had breakout rooms and discussions, but the quizzes and discussion posts were the only part of your grade (which was perfect, because they allowed for flexibility and open endedness).
I would take this course again! - but don't buy the course materials, I was able to check them out at the library :)
