In my opinion, Professor Russel is extremely sweet and caring. Her teaching style is little too easy since she only teaches the basic. However, her tests are very concept based. Overall though, the class was a lot of busy work. If you need all the newest labs (fall 2018) A graded labs, text me @ **********. I will sell them for 5 dollars.

The class is easy if you have access past labs and exams, but if not it's a ton of work that's easy to get points taken off for little things. Email ************* if you are interested in cheap A-graded labs and an old exam almost identical to the final.

Lab reports are hard if you don't have some old ones like most of the class will have. Exams were fair but long so pay attention and keep up with the work.

Horrible teacher.

But better than Pang, and Henari.

Either way, if you take 14CL at UCLA, expect to work your ass off for a B. If you're lucky enough to have a generous TA, expect an A.

Compared to Pang: Dr. Russell is a pretty good teacher, comparable to Pang. I wouldn't say that she's more or less clear than he is in terms of teaching.

Approachability: She was really approachable, and her office hours were always packed. She's willing to help, and she's concerned about student learning.

Grades: She has a VERY generous curve. Everyone I know got an A in her class, regardless of how hard I thought they worked. She definitely doesn't do it by a 90% = A like she says in her syllabus.
