UCLA Covel Commons
Covel Commons was dedicated to Dr. Mitchel D. Covel and his wife, Susan, who made significant contributions to UCLA through their volunteer work and philanthropy.
Since its construction, Covel Commons has become one of many places where students may come to seek academic resources and tutoring services. Covel offers several academic workshops open to all undergraduate students and operated by Academics in the Commons (AITC). Workshop topics range from Planning for the Future, Time Management, Internship Ins and Outs and STRESS BUSTERS. There are also weekly tutoring sessions available for Math/Science majors and composition labs that provide students with one-on-one help with writing.
Other facilities in Covel include three meeting rooms which seat up to eighty people each, two fully-equipped computer laps, a multi-purpose meeting room and the Northwest Campus Auditorium which is available for reservations.
